Acne/Lanvin 2010

Clearly the much awaited fashion's fave luxury brands collaboration - where old Parisian brand reunites with current creative denim brand- is here! Acne and Lanvin have come up with lightweight, well-cut silhouettes referencing classic looks from both brands.

Acne made use of quality Japanese denim - ( Denim made using traditional production techniques that have long been abandoned elsewhere. Though far more labour-intensive and expensive, jeans produced this way have a feel and appearance that is second to none.) resulting to inventive glamour of the dresses, skirts and tops from the signature drapes and flourishes of Lanvin's Alber Elbaz. This I am sure is why the prices and £££$$$.

I love the use of ruffles & ruching and also the colours - mostly blue and shades of black.
